Carterness.

*when he hears music, he stops and leans down a little and shakes his butt
*he did this funny smile thing one weekend.....lift his lips up, clinch his teeth together, and squint his eyes. weird but funny.
*I'm trying to teach him to raise his hands when I say praise God!
*starting to say Mama. It's sweet. Sometimes he's whining though

Prints for Sale.

I think every stay-at-home moms tries to figure out how to make extra money. It's the big life dilemma! I would rather buy gifts for my husband with money I earn instead of money he earns. I mean.....I know it's "ours" but still.

So I have two 8x10 prints for sale that I actually had made as gifts for the nursery my friend was decorating for her little girl.

The first one is a quote  from the book called "Captivating" by John Eldredge.  (If you haven't read it, you should. Essential book for womanhood.)

The second is a verse from another book that you should read too. (Ha. Ha.) The bible. Hosea 2:14.

I'm always reading stories about families trying to raise money to adopt. And for some reason tonight, I sat with tears streaming down my face as I read the stories of what happens to babies with down syndrome in Europe.

This couple is trying to adopt a little boy. My heart melts when I see his face.  When I think about Carter and how precious he is and how precious every child is, my heart hurts that not every child is loved and nurtured.

Anyway....if you feel lead to donate, please do.

I think God used tonight to remind me that..."Oh, it's really not about me at all."  I forget really easily.

Stuff to remember.....

*Carter likes to play chase. He thinks it's funny. Especially when I am trying to get him dressed.
*Last night, he climbed up on the couch himself.
*He is very curious.
*I don't know what it is about ELMO but Carter already likes him.  He dances around when he sees him. *He also likes the giraffe puppet and the caterpillar on Baby Einstein. He starts laughing and clapping.
*Bedtime routine: read some books...he's very picky about what books and likes to turn the pages....and then I turn him around and rock/cuddle. It's sweet. At times, he will lay his head on my shoulder and look at the stuff on the wall. We talk. Then we pray. And then I swing him back in forth 3 times and the last time I lay him in bed. Snuggle him up with his blankets and froggy. And that's usually it. He doesn't even cry anymore.

Had a lovely time in Atlanta with my friend Katie Kelly. It was fun to hang out with her gang and have a change of pace. Carter did well on the plane. SNACKS are the key. Thankfully the flight was short.

Carter had so much fun with Josh and Jack. They are older and he would just watch them and laugh at them. It was fun to watch.

But we are back now and a snow storm is coming through. Boo. Only b.c. its hard to keep a little one occupied in a small apartment. Outside does wanders. Hopefully we will get a house after this lease is up....a house with a yard! Woohoo. Well...we'll see. :)

Heard baby #2's heartbeat today. Not really feeling pregnant so I liked hearing it.
