Bubble Boy.

I saw this good idea here. It came in handy yesterday.

This post reminds me that I want to get these fun bubbles from Gymboree. We went to a Kid's Play class and the teacher used them during one of the activities. These crazy bubbles never popped and the kids could look, examine, and play with them. They were awesome.

Currently memorizing. (I try to pick a verse that will help me in my daily life. Things I am currently dealing with.)

Maybe when I'm un-pregnant :), I will shop here. Kind of like Anthropologie-but not so expensive.

Watched this last night. While I am weary of some documentaries found on Netflix, I loved this one because I have experienced it in my life. Call me a hippie. I'm okay with that. :) (Though I don't think medicine is bad all together and the documentary doesn't say that but the trailer kind of portrays it.)

 Fun, easy, older kid activity.

Good reminder.

Anyone want one of these? No? Hmmm.

Rutabaga. This is what I looked like with Carter at 25 weeks.  Haven't taken many belly pics with this one. I need to soon.

A Blog Snot.

I love reading blogs. It's my favorite stay-at-home mom activity. I love seeing good ideas, finding encouragement, and connecting with other people. Of course I have to keep a check on blog reading. Like making sure I am not spending too much time on the computer and neglecting more important things. I also find myself easily comparing myself with others. Not healthy.

And one of my biggest changes I want to make with my blog habit is to not be such a SNOTTY blog reader and comment! No more stalking. My commitment is to leave a comment on every blog post I read or at least a good majority of them. You can join me in my commitment and leave a comment here! Every blogger loves comments. :)

Thought THIS was such a good post along the same lines.

Happy Monday!

I leave you with this little parrot.  (This is why I can't spend too much on the computer. This little one watches everything I do. )

New Prints: For Sale

My friend, Jamie Keller, requested two prints for her boy's bedroom and play room. She had two verses in mind. Since they were long ones, we decided to make the prints needed to be 11x17. (There are 11x17 frames available. I double checked.) Hopefully serve as a good reminder each day!

If you are interested in either of the two prints, you can find the purchase buttons below. Also if you are wanting something customized, email me at kjoyeldridge@gmail.com.

Birthday Cupcakes YO!

I've been enjoying expanding my cooking abilities as of late. A month ago I made these yummy cupcakes. For my brother's birthday, I decided to make chocolate with peanut butter frosting cupcakes. More manly.

My personal favorite touch were the Trader Joe's Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Yum!  I made toppers out of these pics. If you know my brother and the goofball he is, these are completely fitting and boyish. Cupcakes are kind of girly so I tried to make them as ungirly as possible.

Desperate Times.

One wintery day, I got desperate. Being stuck in a small apartment with this busy guy forces you to get creative. So here you have "Shaving Cream Fun."

Home Sweet Home

Last night I was at dinner and noticed a teenage couple in a booth and I was reminded of what life was like when you didn't have to worry about things like school districts, and down payments, and interest rates, and Dave Ramsey, and 15 year loan vs 30 year loan,  and foreclosures, and apartment leases, and one year olds with weird rashes, and remembering to take prenatal vitamins, and copays, and insurances denying claims.

I guess that's what being a grown up is all about and why I had to start memorizing truth when I get overwhelmed with all of it. Kill that fear.  :)

The LORD God will guide you always. He will satisfy all your needs. In a sun scorched land he will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden. A spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11....that's from memory folks so it might not be perfect.

Do not worry about what you will eat or what you drink or about your body or what you will wear. Is life not more than food and your body more than clothes. Look at the birds of the air. They do not reap or sow or stow away in barns and your heavenly father watches over them. Are you not more valuable than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 5:26-27...I think...again from memory.

God has guided Casey and I since Day #1 of marriage.  So why do I doubt him? When I think about all the tiny, little details that have brought us to where we are, I am amazed. It's miraculous really. For instance, the one school that Plaza Motor Co will repay school loans for is UTI...the one random school my husband went to.

Not only has he guided us with things like money and education but he has also guided us in our mental and emotional well being. Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge have come along way since August 15, 2008. I'll speak for myself when I say that I am a different women since the day of our nuptials. Thank God.

So what's my problem? I guess my annoying control freak/perfectionist tendencies that come from insecurity...which is really just pride....which is really just big ol' fat SIN. Thank you Beth Moore for being the best counselor ever.

Anyway...I'm rambling for fun. :) It's good to do that every now and then.

The whole point for the above rambling is to say that after a month or two of house hunting, I think that this is the perfect house for us....well depending on the price it goes back on the market for. We first put an offer on it the day we saw it. It was $114,000....STEAL....in West County...with a huge yard and potential and move in ready. (You won't believe some of the houses I have seen.) The garage was mechanic approved. The basement is a walkout. It's in good condition. No major structural or water leak problems.

Unfortunately the house was already on it's way to foreclosure. Boo. We didn't get it.  Today it is currently off the market but my secret agent spies (my parents) have noticed that it is currently empty. So now we are waiting for it to go back on the market so we can make another offer on it. Hopefully it will be at a price we want. :) Maybe even before the end of April when we have to give a 60 day notice to the apartment complex and before I have another baby boy. Wishful thinking. But it would be awesome.

I've been praying of course. My Dad told me to read Acts 17:28. It says, "for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we also are His children.'

Bottom line: God is sovereign. He's got this. Relief.

I don't know if God cares about one or two bathrooms or walk out basements or not. I'm guessing no. He seems to be all about the heart and relationships. Wherever we move, it will hopefully be for his glory and for loving others. That seems like a better plan than worrying about how big the closests are.

Phew. :)

I didn't have my camera.

Last Friday night....when it was warn and the sun was out, remember....before it snowed, Casey was outside working on his car. We hung out with him because I think it's important that Carter is around his Dad as much as possible. Boys need their fathers.

Carter loved it of course. One year olds think the whole world is theirs. He would pick up Casey's tools and try to "work" on the car that Casey was working on. It was the most precious thing to watch.

At one point, Casey lays on the ground to do something under the car and Carter lays on his Dad's legs and tries to look under the car too.

MELT MY HEART. It would have been the cutest picture but I didn't have my camera. Sad.

But the scene is still in my head. I hope I never forget it. :)

Boy Awesomeness:  Road Tape

Need to do this

We had this for dinner last night..or my own, easier version of it. Thanks Martha.

Love bible studies. Just started Ruth. Recently finished Breaking Free which I must say was the best counselor I have ever had and I have been to a few! If you get a chance to do it, you should. We all have issues. Some of us just don't know it. :)

Another good boy idea.  I keep gathering them for future use.

Do you love blogs and good ideas and inspiration? You should join pinterest. It's an easy way to organize things you want to remember.

Number one request

Current memory verse. When it comes down to that monthly budget, sometimes tithing is hard to obey. At least for me.  I have memorized 5 so far this year. Following Beth's challenge.

Monkey Joe.

The best word to describe Carter right now would be BUSY. I mean cute, and funny, and one would also suffice BUT "BUSY" nails it. He is on the go! Curious and non-stop. Keeps me on my toes.

We went to Monkey Joe's a few weekends ago. It was perfect because he could run around and have a fair amount of freedom. He sometimes gets on these kicks were he insists on carrying a spatula. Some days it's a spoon. Whatever it is, he does not want to give it up! Eventually I make him when necessary.

Get a load of his cuteness:
